Camping is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If they are not filled after 6 p.m., other campers may occupy the disabled accessible campsite for that night only. Disabled accessible campsites are provided at each campground and are reserved for disabled campers till 6 p.m. Lakeshore campsites provide a picnic table, fire grate and tent pad. You may also wish to identify an alternative campground in your plans as the Lakeshore campgrounds are often full, especially during July and August.
May 10 – October 31: campground services available and fees charged.īecause of the popularity of these campgrounds, a mid-morning arrival is suggested. From the South, take M-77 north to Grand Marais, continue to Brazel Street and turn left.

Owned and operated by Burt Township, Woodland Park is a full service campground with 125 grassy sites plus group areas, fire pits, two bath houses, cable TV, wireless Internet, electric, water hook-ups, dump station, an open-air picnic gazebo, playground, basketball & tennis courts, and public phone with good paved and gravel interior roads. This sandy, wooded campground overlooks a breathtaking Lake Superior beach in a stand of mixed pines and hardwoods with facilities for the entire family. However, if a member of the community finds one of these locations to be useful for overnight RV parking and creates an entry, we may approve the listing.The area around Grand Marais is a campers’ paradise! You’ll find 665 campsites within 20 miles of town, ranging from full-service RV camping to rustic backcountry sites. There are enough Wal-Mart and truck stop directories out there already. We are not actively seeking Wal-Marts, truckstops or other parking lots and will not be adding very many of these. We hope you enjoy the same style of camping. We especially like camping on Forest Service land, BLM (Bureau of Land Management) areas, WMA's (Wildlife Management Areas) and county or city parks. You own these lands and you are entitled to use them.
